I have a few questions regarding making a transition from easy media creator 10 to Creator 2010.  I realize there is no upgrade price benefit because my program is several years old.  But will Creator 2010 read files created from easy media creator 10?  Also, do I have to do a complete uninstall before I can install a new version?  Are there more menus for movies?  Is it very improved?  Most of all, can old video wave files be read on Creator 2010? Does it crash less?  I find that I have to make several smaller chapters rather than one large movie in easy media creator 10.   I appreciate your help on this.

Video related project files from EMC 10 are not compatible with C2010 unless they are very basic, ie simple or no transitions, effects, etc. I don't know what you mean by "read files created from EMC 10". Are you referring to project files or video files such as avi, wmv or mpg? I have both EMC 10 and C2010 installed and they do not seem to interfere. The only reason I have both still installed is that so I can answer some questions here in the forum. What do you mean by "old videowave" files? I don't understand your "smaller chapters" vs "large movie" statement.

If you speak of label files [.JWL] created by Label Creator, Creator 2010 can use JWLs made by EMC 10.1 and above, but not those made by EMC 10.0 and below.
P4 @3.20GHz on Albatron PX-865PE Pro II with 2GB DDR-SDRAM, FX5900XT video, Viewsonic monitors,
BENQ DW1640, in XP Pro and Windows 7

I blame it all on Global Warming / Global Cooling / Global Staying the Same  [pick one]

So I can install both and there isn't any problem?

If you are happy with the problem area's identified in post #2 & 3, go ahead.

If your updating your computer to Win 7 at the same time...... EMC 10 is not compatible.

I use windows xp professional sp3 and I would like to keep emc10 as Creator 2010 doesn't seem to read its project files.  I thought doing a new project in Creator 2010 would give me more options and an upgraded program.  From what I have been able to discern, if I load Creator 2010 it doesn't seem to conflict with emc10 so both would live happily on the same computer, right?

Thanks
