When encoding MPEG / MPG videos to DVD in “My DVD” the sound is not there, it’s gone, just a silent video remains.  I have installed various codec from major 3rd party as a try, still the same problem. I reinstalled Easy Media Creator 10 thinking  maybe corrupted, still same problem. I played with every configuration I thought of, still the sound is omitted when converting to DVD.
Anyone Please advise.

Is the audio native to the video files?  What format are the videos?  Do you have Easy Media Creator 10 or something like Creator 10.2DE .  The DE is a designation for a cut down version of the program and, you are right, that OEM can handle only certain formats.

I don't have EMC 10 nor the OEM software on my computer but try this.  Open MyDVD and select File/Project Properties, select HQ (high quality) and then the option for audio should be highlighted.  You'll have to play with it until you get one that works.  Try a short project to play around with.
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.
