i own creator 8 xe and im trying to install the free update but when i download the file all i get is MIME type file! what can i do to fix this???

Hello,
There is NO update provided by Roxio to upgrade EMC 8 to EMC 9.
If you have been offered an upgrade by an OEM such as Dell, you need to speak to them about any difficulty you're having downloading it.
