I have now tried on four computers to burn a DVD and get Project_Buildto Device(). Author script call failed. Trying all kinds of ways including making an MP4 video first then sending that file via Video Wave to MyDVD.  None of my computers work including my best one with 4 Gigs of Memery and core 2.0 GhZ using a 1 TB hard drive for my storage.  Is my answer to buy a Blu-Ray burner and Blu-Ray disks.  Can anyone please help me.  It seems that Roxio themselves do not have the answer.  ROP

Yes, I have followed the instructions to the tee.  On all four computers.  I have now purchase 2011.  Do you think they have fixed it?  ROP

Did you create a new folder and save the ISO file to that folder as I suggested.

Never buy new software to fix a problem as you describe.  As far as people posting, you are the only one still having an issue after following the instructions.  Note the lack of new posts on the subject after March 6.

Putting the same program on 4 different computers and having it not work still points to operator error; especially since no one else is having the problem currently.  Have someone else read the printed instructions to you and look over your shoulder while you do it.  It may be a simple error that you don't even know that you are making. Try doing a short project for this.

I assume you you are NOT working from/to a networked drive.  That all the images/video/etc are on you system drive.  How about posting some of the specs for the computers you are trying to use?  How much free and defragged space do you have on your computers.  Are you doing anything else (email, surfing the web etc.) while the project is being encoded?  Do you have your anti-virus active.
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.

Good morning. To let you know, I have 4 GB of memory, 2 2 Gig CPU's, 500 Gigs of storage with about 400 available running Windows Vista 64 bit and I have followed the instuctions verbatim.  I make movies for a living with Roxio and many of my customers are starting to ask for HD.  I finally found out the problem, after shutting off NORTON (good old Norton) my main system works just fine (I don't care about my other e PC's).  I want to thank you for your patience, concern and your attention to this.  I can now get back to making money, now.  ROP

Norton does it again !    Glad I added that last sentence almost as a tag line.

Thanks for letting us know.  Do we get a cut?  ;)

Now they will be asking for 3D video (Creator 2011).

Again, thanks.  Norton is to blame for many things, but I won't get into that, on this forum.  Ironically Roxio 2011 Pro with 3D arrived in the mail today.  No, the customers haven't asked for it, but I'm about to buy the new Samsung 55" 3D TV so I'll be making my own movies for it.  I surely appreciate the tutorials that Roxio has put out on the web which I will follow.  Just to let you know, I have been a proud Roxio customer all the way back to Window 95, and have sold more copies of all kinds of Roxio products for them and I'm not even on their payroll.  Again, Sknis, thanks so much for your help. Good morning, Sknis, I have received my 2011 but have not installed it (but soon).  I have made my first production with 2010 in HD now and no more "Project_Buildto Device(). Author script call failed)".  I was about to release it to my customer, and during playback I noticed gray lines appearing randomly thru my production on my PC and on my Blu-Ray player.  Understand I'm only using JPEG files converted to an mp4 file in like you told me.  Have you heard of this before?  RON

Sknis, I decided to these two pictures that appeared on playback.  Excuse the blurriness I actually took it with my camera.  My production randomly does this.  The picture starts normally (without the gray lines) then during zooming or panningit displays the gray lines then suddenly goes away.  RON    P9029878.JPG P9029877.JPG

Not like that! :o

I have seen poor results during Hardware rendering that show up whenever there is movement…

Try setting to Software Rendering and see if it goes away!

After changing the rendering to "Software" the gray lines have dissappeared, but I'm now getting a "jumpy" effect on all my JPEG's.  Remember I'm only making movies with stills and mostly pans and zooms (although still pictures are jumping, also.  The jumpy effect seems to be the picture being quite focused in HD then it goes slightly blurry and then back to being focused causing this "jumpy" effect.  Can you offer any suggestions?  THANKS - - ROP

If it improves with Software Rendering, it is an indication of your Video Card not being able to handle what you are doing…

Can you give us the Make and Model of your card?

You could also test this by removing ALL transitions and another test would be to use only one simple transition.

I am using an ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics card.   Could this be the reason for the jumpy images, only when panning and zooming?  I use mostly "disolve" transitions, and it doesn't appear jumpy during the transition.  Is this card not adequate?  ROP

I gave you 2 tests to run – Software Render & a Very Basic Project.

What were the results?

With a simple "disolve" as the transition and no panning or zooming, everything is fine. No "jumping" whatsoever.  ROP

OK – take it up a notch.

Go up until it breaks and then try that one using Software Render.

Your card should good but it doesn't always work that way :(
