.avi To Dvd - 10 No Sound

In trying to convert a .avi file from my computer to a DVD -- twice now the video reproduces but no sound.
I using WIN7 -64  , Media Creator 10 w/latest updates
All other sound functions work properly

Is this a bought Retail Easy Media Creator 10 or a OEM version came with the PC or a piece of hardware?

If Retail explain in what applications your doing your conversion?

Retail version
I used both "Convert Video" and "Divx DVDS" with the result.

The earliest version to be compatible with Windows 7 is Creator 2010 - sorry
