I've been running Creator Basic v9 for about 3 years on my HP desktop. I've had no problems till recently. Last week I experienced a problem with the CD/DVD burner. I had to uninstall, re-install the drivers. With the help of HP tech support, also removed two filters via regedit.
Now when I launch Creator, and error message says that "All your drives are set to disabled. On this operating system, in order to start Roxio Creator Basic v9 you must either physically remover your drive(s) or enable at least one drive."
No other information or help is available. Best I can tell through my resources, all drives ARE enabled. Anyone ever experience this or know of a fix?
I did uninstall Creator and re-installed several times, results are the same.

I neglected to mention that I'm running Windows Vista. I don't have Sonic Record Now. I have disabled and enabled my cd/dvd drive, several times with Creator closed.

That is why I said that the program being used, doesn't matter. Outside of uninstalling the secondary IDE Channel, under IDE Controllers, in Device Manager, then rebooting, right now, I don't know what else to recommend.

You've killed the Roxio filter by changing the entries with Regedit. It has to be replaced so that Creator can see your optical drives.
Download This Program from Roxio. Unzip the file into a spare folder on your hard drive and run it.
