For months I was able to burn CD's & DVD's. I wanted to burn a 50mb data CD, but it's requesting a DVD. Will burn fine with a DVD, but I don't want to waste them and see no reason why it's no longer burning CD's

Something must have changed. I've tried this on 2 separate machines (XP & Windows 7). They both do the same thing.

Any ideas?

Many thanks in advance for any help.

Hello,

I have 7.3 rather than 7.22, but I don't imagine the burning engine or UI will be that much different from yours.

I can't find any user-controlled setting in the options which will let you dictate whether a CD or DVD should be used if your project is CD-sized, and mine will burn to a CD or DVD at will.

I get this message when I'm ready to burn. Did you ever get this one? Do you only get the one you showed, now?

I haven't installed it on Windows 7 because it's not compatible with that Operating System, but I do have it running nicely in XP.
I agree something must have changed. Perhaps you've updated your XP? What version of Internet Exploder do you have on it?  What version of Windows Media Player? Versions later than I.E.6 or WMP 9 have been known to interfere with earlier Sonic/Roxio software like this.

If the installation of RecordNow in XP is an old one which used to work, perhaps a reinstall might help.
If it's a fresh installation then I'm stuck. Both my old and fresh installations in XP with the old IE and WMP are working fine.
