I have owned this software for over 6 months now and I have to say that overall I am VERY DISAPPOINTED.  I originally purchased the Standard version of the product back in January.  At the time, the 'Premier' version had an estimated release date of 'January 2006'.  I was hesitant to purchase until the Premier version released, but I saw that once the Premier version was released, you could pay the difference between the existing Standard Edition price and Premier to upgrade.  Well, needless to say, shortly after purchasing the Standard edition, the release date changed from January to "February/March", then "April/May" to "June 1st" to now "June/July".  The worse part about this (aside from the fact that I pretty much purchased this product specifically for the Premier features) was that the MyTVtoGo folks would wait until AFTER the release date had slipped before deciding to once again update the "official" release date.  They would then say it was not their fault, but a 3rd party who "over promised and under delivered."  Needless to say, managing customer expectations is NOT one of MyTVtoGo's strong suits.

As for the actual performance of the product, I give it a grade of D minus.  The audio/video sync problems have been well-documented.  In addition, the other major problems/oversights are that there are no options to convert shows on-demand, the software crashes repeatedly, and worse, the software crashes iTunes.  With regards to iTunes crashing, in typical MyTVtoGo fashion, they claim it is iTunes fault and not their software.  So let me get this straight...you make a plug-in for an established product like iTunes...without that plug-in, iTunes works fine...with the plug-in installed, the product crashes...AND THIS IS ITUNES FAULT???  How does that make sense?

All in all, this product is NOT ready for primetime.  I would consider the existing version a beta product at best.  There are so many little things missing from this product that it adds up to be a big waste of time.  Put it this way, the software just completely stopped working about 2 months ago and I haven't even bothered to try and fix it.  It simply isn't worth my time.  And keep in mind...if this product has these kind of problems coming from a company whose only focus was to make MyTVtoGo the best it could be, imagine what's going to happen now with a big company like Roxio in charge.

Bottom line, I guess if your only care is getting content from your MCE to your portable device, then technically this will do the job.  However, if you do purchase this product, make sure that is your ONLY expectation.

I've owned mytvtogo for over a year and think it is a great piece of software.  I'd give it a B (I wish it converted shows a bit faster and I'd like to convert shows to my second hard drive.  otherwise very nice!)

I agree with you about the release date for Pro (or Premium whatever the name these days) it's been pushed out quite a bit.  As I recall it's been delayed since early this year.  Although I'm not sure why you'd buy software you don't want in the hope that you would just upgrade to the software you want?  I think that's where you made your mistake.  Now it got you into this big dealie where you sound like a drama queen and try to make a good piece of software look like a turd.

I've read some people saying they have audio/video sync problems but I've never seen any.  I use a windows mobile smartphone and occasionally my ipod (I have seen the itunes crash but by simply opening itunes before running mytvtogo fixes that ... I read that nugget in a mytvtogo forum post.

wtf!  I was a member of the previous mytvtogo forums and they did a great job.  Kim was very helpful and kept people informed and the loop.  Typical? Can you say drama?

Yes there are.  It's called ready sync on the options page.

Hmmmm.  If the software "just stopped working" then do you think it might have something do to with YOUR computer or possibly some new software YOU installed two months ago?  Try roll-back genius.

DOOD!  Isn't that what mytvtogo is supposed to do?  What are your other expectations ... do you want Roxio middle-management to make a house call and wipe your &%$ too?  crazy!

I'd have to agree with Golden Frog. The software does what it says it'll do, convert MCE recordings into iPod or other compatible formats. It's a shame you're having problems, maybe you should try a reinstall since I've found other installs after MyTVtogo have screwed it up also.
Another key point is that I had a huge problem related to Ad-Watch blocking registry entries on the install. Look at your protection logs and see if that's it. Something to do with ReadySync entry getting added to the registry.

The Beta versions had some issues, but it looks like it's all resolved now and I never had an issue with the Standard version before that.

Sorry it's not worth your time to try to fix it, but I find the auto load into iTunes incredibly handy. Just sync in the morning and I have my favorite shows loaded to watch on my commute.

My only wish is that ReadySync could be on a timer, running only during the wee morning hours instead of sucking up my CPU during my 'gaming' time.

Good luck in finding another 'automatic' function for porting MCE files. I sure haven't found another.

I'm still having problems with audio sync.
I have a an apple ipod 60Gb with the updated firmware.
I discovered the other day that it's when I've requested files to be copied via ReadySync that the audio slips.
If I just do a manual sync it seems to be OK?
