After rebuilding my PC and re-installling EMC 8, I would like to change the default (startup) folder where EMC apps strore and access their files.   After intall they are in the My Documents folder, how can I change it to another location as the dafault ?

Most of the EMC8 applications has an option to change temp file folder in TOOLS/OPTIONS.  You will have to run each app and change it.

MyDVD and VideoWave DO NOT have this option, those are the ones I want to change.  Any ideas ?

What version do you have?  The Deluxe version has two options: Proxy files and Captured narration. If you are talking about the .dmsm and .dmsd files, you can save those anywhere you like (File/Save and File/Save As).

Just to help clarify what Gary has suggested, When you make a production in Videowave and save the production file, it is saved as a *.DMSM file. When you finish and save a production in MyDVD, it is saved as a *.DMSD file. Once you make either of these productions and save it to a folder of your choice, the program will remember that folder where you saved the information for that production.

Another suggestion. When you do a new production in Videowave, place or keep ALL of the separate files for making the production (video, photos, etc.) in that same folder. The reasoning there is if you ever go back and edit the production and it can't find a particular file for some reason or another, There is an option where you can browse to find the file or files that are missing and it's very easy to go to just a single folder to find all of your separate files used to make the production. Also, when you want to save your productions for backup purposes to another drive (exterior or otherwise), all the files will be in one spot. Hope that makes sense.
