I upgraded my hard disk
reinstalled EMC 7.0 from a packaged product - works fine

then went to use my upgrade to 7.5 - which worked when I had my old disk
I am now told the CD key is invalid !

(checked and doubled checked the key code so that is not the problem)

any suggestions about how to solve this issue from the forum?

For the benefit of others who have this problem :
I have SOLVED it !

I didn't realise the update package had a CD-KEY different from the original retail package.
This happened partly because I downloaded it so there was no CD.
(well it's one excuse for being non-savvy)
