I'm using Toast Titanium 6.1.1 on Mac OS X 10.3.9.

I'm trying to create a DVD that has both video and data on it.  According to the online help, I can create a DVD that plays like a regular video DVD in a DVD player, but if I put it in a DVD drive on a computer, I can access additional data on the disk.  This is exactly what I want to do.

The online help says to create a video data as normal, but then do two additional steps:

1) Checkmark on "Add Data Content"
2) Go to the "Data" tab and add the files

I did all that, but when I insert the finished DVD into my Mac, I can only access the video content.  The disc appears only as a video DVD.  I can't even tell if the data content was written to the disc.

I've had trouble with this in Toast 6 too when following the Help instructions.

In the Data window choose DVD-Rom as the format. Click New disc. Give the New disc the same name as the disc title you're choosing in the Video window (the default is My DVD). Now drag in the data content. Go back to the Video window and click the burn button. This should work. You can Save as Disc Image instead of burning a DVD if you want to test this. However, don't try burning the resulting disc image or the data content will be left out again.

Another workaround is to use only the Data window as above but to also drag in the VIDEO_TS folder that was burned to the DVD that lacked the data content.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

Thanks, that worked.  I think my problem was not selecting DVD-ROM as the format.
