I am about to retire my Older PC and as I have been using ECDR 8 so successfully I transferred it to my new
HP Laptop (Windows 7)

Problem is:
I use the programme for Recordng Radio Programmes for Airplay  on Internet Radio  Stations..

In Audio Capture I set the Attributes as:
Capture from:   (Soundblaster 5.1.1)
Input:                  (Stereo Mix)
These settings allow me to Voice over Tracks playing in WinAmp Player.
When I put   ECDR 8 on Windows 7  I have No attributes other than Microphone (Raeltek High Defination)  in Capture from:

On the Input:  I have nothing showing at all.

Can anyone advise IF there is: An update to allow this or if I buy 2011 version will it do what I need to do.

The earliest version that would run with Windows 7 is Creator 2010 - you will either have to upgrade the Roxio app or downgrade the OS to XP. There's no other way I'm afraid.

If you already tried installng EMC 8 on Windows you could gave problems with leftover bits messing up a new installation. In that case you would need to check out the Creator 2011 forum on how to remove all traces

Thanks for Quick Reply and Info:

Last Question : I am assuming I can Voice over on Roxio 2011 version, otherwise PC remains in situ.  I broadcast to several Internet radio and FM Stations Country & Irish Music.

Many Thanks

Hello DJPaddy,

I don't know of any "ECDR 8" and it isn't Easy CD and DVD Burning in the red box where you posted this question, but I'm guessing you mean "Easy Media Creator 8" [EMC 8] so your question has been shifted here.

The BAD news is that only Creator 2010 and Creator 2011 are compatible with Windows 7. That means that EMC 7, 8 [your software], 9, 10, and Creator 2009 are all ruled out.

Sorry, but Microsoft made too many things radically different in Windows 7 and the Sonic/Roxio software would need an expensively large re-design to make it work properly in Windows 7.

The GOODnews is that the new Creator suites [Creator 2010 and Creator 2011] have a very good sound editor in them which should do what you want.

Hope this helps
