I get this is it then.
The problem is with Roxio. There is a most definitely a bug in the software and I can't fathom why Dell would provide BUGGY software with Latitude notebooks, even at a lowered cost.
The fact that AMCAP.EXE v1.0 can capture BOTH Audio and Video speaks volumes. Especially considering it is not a newbie software utility. In fact it is more than 10 years old. I also found the freeware Fx Video Capture is able to capture BOTH Audio and Video.
I don't know when the publish data of Roxio Premier v10.2 was performed but I got the software in 2009 with my Dell and if Roxio drops support and calls it Legacy that quickly then that is problematic.
No argument that you have a problem with the Dell software. At this point I would go to them to ask questions. Don't let them tell you that they don't support the software - by agreement, they have to. Perhaps it is fixed in a later version, ask them for a free update to Creator 10.3.
The software was a freebie (
no cost) teaser to entice you to but the full version.
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.
