Hello -  Like many others, the "Login To Streamer" or "Allow Streamer Access To Your Computer" pops up every time I start my computer.  I have only one computer so don't need it. I've read the Getting Started manual and it tells how to load but not how to uninstall.  I've gone to Control Panel/Programs but can not find Roxio Streamer alone on the list.  Must I uninstall Roxio 2011 then reinstall without Streamer?

I don't think you can uninstall it without reinstalling the program but you should be able to use Windows Start msconfig start up tab to disable it at the next boot.  You will have to acknowledge that you made the changes and to not bother you again.

I did not install streamer so I'm just guessing that it is there in the start up.

The Roxio Streamer and Roxio Streamer Desktop Applications should appear as seperate items in your Programs and Featuers panel.  You should be able to remove them seperately.

That is exactly what I had to do to remove Streamer.  I inserted the Creator 2011 disk, and eventually got screen that allowed 'Repair' or 'Remove' 2011.

I accidentally installed Streamer when I first bought Creator 2011 and found that it prevented Vista from going to Sleep. I couldn't find a way of uninstalling Streamer and didn't know the Streamer process names so I asked Roxio .....they said the only way to uninstall Streamer is to uninstall Creator 2011 and reinstall it w/o Streamer.

Put in disk 1, go to the directory named STREAMER_CLT, and run the file called Roxio Desktop Streamer Applications, it has an option to remove the streamer app.

It's called Roxio Desktop Streamer Applications.msi, and it will let you remove the Streamer Agent which asks you to log in.

The Streamer Server is the other part, and you can remove that by running the MSI file in the STREAMER_SVR_X86 [or _X64 for 64-bit] folder of your installer.

Just go to - Start - click on computer - double click on "C" drive - double click on program files (x86)- look for the folder "Roxio Streamer" - select the folder and click delete on your keyboard.

That is not uninstalling it, your just deleting the program folder and leaving a ton of junk associated with the program.

Use Brendon's uninstall procedure and uninstall it the correct way..

Any idea how to do this if you just downloaded the software and don't have the discs?

The downloadd files are self-extract archives. Open the program file with winrar, extract to a folder and run setup.exe from there

While you have that folder, it's a good idea to burn the contents (not the folder itself) to a DVD so you have a backup disc
