Hi,

When you using the drag n' drop on-screen icon to add a folder to a project I receive an RDR_FILE_SYSTEM error (bsod). It happens when you try to rename the "new folder". The blue screen pops up and the system reboots. After restarting I can go back to the project and the "new folder" has been added I just can't rename it. This is EZCD 6 basic ver. 6.1.1.48. Thanks!

I think I saw something that indicates you have two choices.

Either get rid of Norton Anti-Virus, or quit trying to rename files.

If you want a "great-big floppy-disc" get a Flash drive (aka jump drive, Keychain drive, Thumb drive). If you don't have WinXP, Zip drives are also a good choice. But whatever you use with WinXP, use the eject command via the mouse or screen, or WinXP will get its fangs on it, and eat it.

"Never trust your ONLY copy of an important file to a Packet-Written Program such as Drag2Disc, DirectCD, Sonic's DLA, Nero's InCD, etc. Packet-Written discs have a tendancy to fail,l usually at the worst possible time."

Hi,

I am using Windows 2000 SP4. When I add a new folder to a project (dvd/cd compilation) and try to rename it so I can put specific info in it is when I get the error. I can't have a dvd full of "new folder1,2,3" etc. I do know what you are saying about Direct CD as in the past it has always had problems. I may just have to use the classic EZCD creator for data discs. Thanks for the reply.

The problem comes from Norton AV. We have not seen it for some time, so I am hoping that they updated their program. Something you should do is make sure you are up to date with them…

Hi,

I am in a corporate environment so Symantec A/V is well entrenched :] I have the latest update for this particular software.

Contact Norton and see what they suggest. MS, Roxio and Norton looked into this and 2 out of 3 felt it was up to Norton to fix.

One alternative (if you are allowed) is to turn off active scanning before using D2D.

Obviously other methods, Classic w/Sessions, can be used to get around this too.
