Hi,
I am new to the site and wish happy holidays to all. I need help finding out if i can use roxio creator (basic 9) that came with my computer to create a set of recovery disc for my computer. I think the program will have to access all the info on my machine in order to do this. Hope someone can help. thanks lots, Carl Salem

What computer do you have? Many of them already have a recovery partition and give you instructions on how to make a copy.
It is often best to use a commercial product to back up your computer. Roxio has one but there are tons of others (Acronis). You might want to consider backing up/ create a recovery partition on a USB connected hard drive. They are pretty cheap now; some come with recovery software. This is an example; not a recommendation.

I don't believe that Easy Media Creator Basic version 9 can create a set of recovery discs for your machine.
BackOnTrack is included in the latest full versions of Creator and it will do that, but I don't think you'll find it in EMC 9 Basic.

If you have a Western Digital or Seagate hard drive they offer a free version of Acronis True Image. Google it they are similar to Acronis TI retail software..
