Was the slideshow assistant working ok, and just stopped working?
What O/S doytou have?. Is the rest of the CE version working ok?.
If you want to create a slideshow, avoid the Assistants and use Videowave, The Assistants are dumbed down wizards that are limited in their features and options (this is assuming your OEM version of Roxio has this feature).
OEM version's are cut back/slimmed down version's of the full retail version from Roxio.

ANSWER THE QUESTIONS ! What OS? Slow down, read the responses, think about it and then reply. We cannot help you if you run off screaming in the woods.
Where did you get the Creator 10 CE? CE designates that as an OEM from Plextor. An OEM is a castrated version of the program so we can't tell you what you can or cannot do. In addition, that program is based on a 5 year/4 version old base. We cannot even tell you if it is compatible with your operating system.
Technical support for that product is through Plextor. You must contact them for support. Perhaps you can start here (link); you can also ask your question here (Link)
Meanwhile, Did it open minimized? Sometime we miss things like that happening. Does it open using Windows Programs.etc?

It's possible that it's not - if clicking on it in start menu doesn't bring it up, it might just be a dead link that wasn't removed for the OEM package
