When using Creator 7, I could overburn a radio program onto my CD. The program is usually 85 minutes, the cd 80 minutes. Losing the last 4 minutes was no problem. However, having switched now to Creator 8, I cannot find a way to get it to overburn. I dont want to waste 2 cd's because of 4 or 5 minutes. Do I have to go back to using Creator 7?

I don't remember Creator 7 supporting overburn. You sure it wasn't version 6? You could be right. I never cared about overburn, because at about $.10-$.15 a disk, I didn't really need it.
Sometimes it would be nice to have things fit on one disk, but it is close, I just cut something out.

In version 7.5 Creator Classic audio CD Project, under more options. This is specific by the drive supporting it I think. My Plextor offers GigaRec and 7.5 allows more data to be wrote to the disc than its native capacity would allow. It supports only CD-R media at 4x writing speed, and will enforce read only as the record method.
I have never used it in 7.5.

In Roxio Home, go to Tools -> Options -> General -> Advanced then there should be a check box for Overburn by (sectors)

Thanks. I went there - but it added 2 minutes, required me to eliminate the extra 2 minutes (total of 4 minutes over). There's no way I know of to eliminate any of the radio program. Wish I could. The overburn checkbox won't let me go any higher than 9999 on the overburn. Do you know if I can put Creator 7 back on and use both programs? The cost of the disc isn't the problem, its the inconvenience of having so many. I record several hours a day. Any help you can give me would be appreciated! Thanks again

You can use both programs just don't install theD2D in both programs. I have v6,v7.5 and v8 with no problems.

Can't you use sound editor for that? Depending on file type you might need to transcode it first to a file type sound editor recognises.

Now depending on the content, and your tastes, you could use a program like GoldWave (an audio editor) to "squeeze" the radio show to fit. Basically, just speed it up by 3% or so, barely audible, and then it should all fit. If you don't like the slightly higher pitch, you can then have GoldWave lower the pitch an appropriate amount too. I had to do something similar at one point just to speed up a piano accompaniment for my daughter. Her voice teacher and I recorded the piano part, but he played it a bit slower than she preferred, so, I wound up speeding it up by a few percent, then had to drop the pitch by a half-tone to get it back to the right pitch. Came out quite well.
So, a bit more work to go the second route, but an option none-the-less.
