Having purchased Easy Media Creator Suite 10,  I'd like to know what the modern equivalent is. Should I/Can I upgrade directly to Creator 11 Pro?

Please use the full numerical designation of Creator 2011.  Some see the Creator 11 and think that it is really Creator 2009 which would have been next in line.

Before you buy, make sure your computer exceeds the minimum specs (by a lot).

Here is the information:

Thanks for the naming clarification.  I was also confused by the version/year conflict.

As for the upgrade possibility...Ouch!  It would be far less expensive to buy a new copy from a retailer than to order an upgrade though the Roxio website.  The current 40% sale apparently does not apply to my situation.  Maybe I'll stick with EMC Suite 10 for the moment - crashes and all - since I paid well over $100 for it not that long ago.

Your choice; just don't upgrade to W7.  EMC 10 is a very good product; it does not have the 3D functionality.

Time files - Easy Media Creator 10 was released 3 versions and possibly 4 years ago.

Yes sometimes you can get it cheaper on sale (check the Amazon price).  The advantage of buying it directly from Roxio is that you have a 30 day no questions asked return policy if you don't like it or if it doesn't work for you.

If you are having problems with EMC 10, by moving on to Creator 2011 is not going to fix it.

Try posting your problem in the EMC 10 forum and maybe another fellow user on here will help you.

If you go that route, try to provide as much details as possible....

@sknis: Time does fly.  I didn't realize EMC 10 was so old.  I don't need 3D but Win7 is in my near future.  Any problems with 64-bit and Creator 11?
Thanks for the input.

@ogdens: My problems were seemingly random and severe.  I gave up after some time, planning to try again in the future.  It is possible that external factors played a role in the stability on my previous computer running WinXP.  I never installed it on my newest computer running Vista.  Without knowing the source, I cannot say that EMC 10 alone was at fault.  Having other alternatives available, I didn't take the time to solve the problems I had while using EMC 10. Perhaps it's time to try again...or upgrade.  Thanks for the offer of tech support.
