Having to back up and burn data files to DVD's,
I bought a Pioneer DVR-X162Q DVD/CD Writer that came bundled with Roxio Venue Suite
(including Venue, Easy Cd/DVD Buring, Cine Player, Cinema Now and Media Manager.)

The problem is, when I try to burn a data DVD, the process keeps looping--i.e. the first DVD isn't ejected and the data is written over the same disc, of course ruining it.

Is there a fix for this? If not, I'll have to uninstall because I don't have need right now for the other utilities.

Check with Pioneer as that is THEIR oem version of  Roxio.  All support for OEM versions come from the provider, in your case Pioneer.

Unfortunately, Pioneer doesn't offer any support on this.
Would just removing it via Add/Remove Programs work?

Yes that should work as far as removal…

But I don't see how the software would have any affect on the drive.

I am curious, what backup or data software are you using to write this backup?

I gave it another shot and it seems to be working (fingers crossed.)

Originally, I had checked: CD Recording Options_Data & Backup_Type_"Disc At Once (DAO,) Closed."
but may have neglected to check the box below, "Write-Once DVD Compatability/I only need to use discs for one recording."

I appreciate your help.
