I backedup files onto 4 disks. I now have lost the 4th disk. How can I restore the files from the 3 disks I have ?

If you did a system backup I'm not sure that you can.
If you just did a file backup then try putting the disc in and opening it with Windows Explorer.If you can see files then you should be able to copy them off the discs.

I can see them in explorer, but the headers are not recognized as .jpg files. Any way to fix them ?
