How Do I Install Titanium Pro Blu-Ray Plug-In?

Question

I am sorry if this question gets asked alot, but could someone tell me how I install the Blu-ray Plug-In without having to pay extra (as already paid as part of the Titanium Pro bundle) I see that I have a CD key for the Pro HD/BD Plug-In but can't see how to install it!

Have been holding on to Roxio for 30 mins waiting for an answer and thought this may be quicker!!!

Thanks

You should be able to double click on the blu-ray plugin icon and it should open and walk you thru the steps. One of those steps is to enter your cd key. Once done, it should install itself. Make sure that the Toast app is not open.

After installing, open toast and click on the dvd tab. You should see blu-ray listed as one of the tabs.

That is how you know that the plugin is installed.

I've done as you suggested (twice). No blu-ray or BD options show up in Roxio.

Any other suggestions?

:(

Do you have the Blu-ray option checked in Toast Preferences?

Do you have the Blu-ray option checked in Toast Preferences?

Thanks. I just bought the plugin and was pulling my hair out because I couldn't find the BluRay disk option.

You'd think that installing the plugin would enable the option…

Did you buy the Blu-ray plugin for Toast 10 or did you buy the one for Toast 11? They are different.

I bought Toast Titanium Pro 10 (yes a few years ago) and tried to install the bluray plugin. I put in the CD Key which is on the back of the CD sleeve. Once I get all the characters in place, the next button is grayed out. The bluray projects is checked in the preferences General tab. Why do they sell a product that doesn't work? I called a sales number at Roxio / Corel today and they told me to buy the tech support upgrade. I said, why should I pay extra for something that I already purchased that doesn't work? I remember Toast 2, 3, 4, and I think 5 when it was still a good product. I can't believe somebody hasn't come up with somethng better. Unless I am completely missing the boat, this product is garbage. Why doen't it install the plugin when you install the product? I believe that Toast is now toast and at the end of it's run. It used to be good, but now is bloatware, as I believe toast 10 pro is 746MB just for toast. Does anyone have any ideas how to install this goofy plugin that needs to be there for me to use toast to burn a Bluray disc? I told the sales person, "it even says right here on the box, Burn HD video to DVD and Blu-ray Discs, but I can't do what the box says it will do. I believe they are also known for misreprenting their proucts.

Make sure you're using the installation key for the Blu-ray plugin itself and not the one for Toast 10. Also, the digit 0 can be the letter O or vice versa. The digit 1 can also look like the letter l.

Thank you for the reply. I am about done with toast. There are no zeros or O's in my number, so I have that part correct. The format of my "CD KEY" matches the format of the number that it shows to input when I try to install the plugin, which is XX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX. I have done it with the dashes, without the dashes and the "Next" button is still grayed out. I have been searching for applications on sourceforge and will give them a try. I won't pay a company for support for something that the box clearly states that under Toast 10 Titanium Pro - "High-def DVD and Blu-ray burning Author HD video to standard DVDs and Blu-ray Discs". Toast 10 requires a plugin, but not Toast 10 Pro. So much for paying extra for pro. If you have connections on the inside, I would like to know how to make this work. Thanks again.

The Blu-ray plugin installer that comes with Toast 10 Pro has a registration key that is different from the one used when launching Toast for the first time. The number format is identical but the actual codes are different. If you bought Toast 10 Pro in a box there should be an included sheet that has the plugin's registration key. The actual Toast application is the same regardless of the Pro or standard version. The difference with the Pro version is it includes the Blu-ray plugin without having to buy it separately and has the bonus third-party applications.

If you haven't done this already, go to Roxio's software updates page and download and install the Toast 10 update. That won't help with your Blu-ray plugin issue but it will get you the latest Toast 10 update.

I understand your upset with Roxio/Corel regarding their support. I can't help you with that. But do make sure the registration key you are entering is specifically described as the one for the plugin and not for Toast.

OK, I admit to being a moron. There is a card inside the box which has the bluray plugin serial number on it. The person on the phone told me that I was using the correct one. Currently I am burning a disc with ExpressBurn, which seems to work well. I will try to install once this disc has been burned. It did install fine. Now I will try burning a disc.

Thanks for your help.
