Having not used it for several months (not quite sure how many 6 maybe) I am now unable to capture video. As soon as Itry I get a message 'Roxio Media Capture has stopped working'.
Using creator 9 and Vista.
Any ideas would be welcome.

Try a repair, run the installation disc and choose repair. You will need to apply and SP update after.

I've tried to apply the update and it claims I don't have a registered product, but my product shows on 'my account'. Any guesses on how to accomplish the update? I was trying to do the update because when I tried to 'copy and convert', the program shuts down.

You posted in Eassy Media Creator 9. Please confirm that is what you have and not Creator 2009 or Creator 9 (from Dell).
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.
