i am also getting ther 8004520C error when i try to burn the production. i had creator 2010 on my machine when
it originally happened. i uninstalled it, installed creator 2011 and the same error occurred. the burn option
kicks out this error when you use any of the 3 options: burn to disk, image or folder. please advise.
this is VERY frustrating. please help.

There is something wrong with your project if all three give the same error.
I'll assume that you did your slide show in Video Wave and you saved the project to add to My DVD or went there directly. Open Video Wave and open that project. Select to output/export it as a mpg for DVD best quality file. If it completes, then use that in My DVD. If it does not, the time where it hangs should give you a hint as to what is wrong. It could be timing, use of unsupported audio, use of a 3D type transition when you are using software render, and many others.

thank you for your response. i tried your suggestion, however, i was not clear on the portion where you stated if the output/export completed to use that in mydvd. could you share the steps. because it did complete. what exactly do i do next to use it in mydvd?
fyi......i went back so i could share with you exactly how i created the slideshow. i opened roxio creator 2011, clicked photo, clicked create slideshow, then used the roxio slideshow assistant to create the slideshow. i then saved it. then went to edit in videowave.

It is much simpler to create the slideshow directly in Videowave. The slideshow wizards are rather limited in what they can do. You are after all using Videowave to make edits, why not start there.
To use the video from VW, launch myDVD and add the video file using the Add task.

The point at which your output quit, is where your production has a problem. You have to check to see what you have going on at that point (photo, video clip, transition?), and correct the problem.
