Minimum System Requirements: QuickTimeŽ player version 7 required for some functionality.
How about Version 7.6.9 for free here>> http://www.apple.com...ktime/download/
If you continue to get the error run a repair on the installation.

Thanks for the download. I installed it and also uninstalled and reinstalled Roxio Creator 2010 along with the software update. It did not resolve the issue. I still get a runtime error when I select music for my production and it immediately shuts down. Any other suggestions? Are Roxio Creator 2010 and Windows 7 compatible?

I have been trying to follow the instructions you gave me very carefully, but I am finding it confusing and stressful. I am doing things to my new computer that I don't understand and the instructions aren't clear. Here are my questions so far. They are numbered to correspond with the instructions.
2a. 2 says to delete necessary Roxio reg keys, but after I downloaded and ran the program in the link it said C2010 was added to the registry. Is that what was supposed to happen?
3. I uninstalled 3 .net programs under updates in the control panel. Did I do the right thing?
5. I installed XML 4 SP3, but it left 3 SP2 programs on my computer. Was I supposed to uninstall those? SP3 doesn't say it supports Windows 7. It said a new version 6.0 is available. Do I need to worry about any of this?
6. When I click on the install .NET 3.5 SP1 is says a newer version is available. Which one do I use?
7. I copied the files from the Roxio disk to my computer without problem.
If you will help me with these questions I will finish with the instructions.
Thanks! I hope this helps. If it doesn't I will post the information requested in the last link.

If you ran 2 a you should be fine.

That is what the instructions are! "3. Uninstall all .NET versions from Control Panel"
Quote
I don't understand the bold text above? If you followed the directions you should be fine?
Quote
Again the directions say, "Download and install .NET 3.5 SP1"

Good are you ready to reinstall?
If for some reason the installation fails follow these instructions for the install logs.
Post here that the install failed and I will send you a PM where to send the log files.

No I am not ready to install. When I tried to install msxmlcab.exe it asked me where I wanted to save the extracted files. I put them in a folder on my desk top. Am I supposed to do anything with them? The instructions say Use msxmlcab.exe to download the CAB file to redistribute MSXML over the Internet. What does that mean?
When I tried to install the NET Framework 3.5 SP1 a message popped up that says "You must use "Turn Windows features on or off" in the Control Panel to install or configure Microsoft.NET Framework 3.5 SP1." When I click on "Turn Windows features on or off" there are some boxes checked and some not. The NET Framework box is blue and there are two files connected to it. What am I supposed to do?
I am not bolding anything. Maybe the computer is just picking up on my frustration!
