Hopefully, this is the correct spot to post this question.  And, I hope this issue is related to Roxio since the term Roxio was in the warning text that appeared during the transfer of music from iTunes to a flash drive.  The transfer of music stopped at certain music files with the message...

"Some information might be lost....., :Roxio EMC Stream:$Data".

Three boxes appeared that could be checked containing: stop the transfer; continue: or accept all, which allows the transfer to continue uninterrupted despite the apparent loss of info. What kind of info is lost I don't know.  This certainly appears related to some type of Roxio related function.  I did not use any of the music tracks contained in iTunes during any Roxio Creator 2009 projects.  All of the music tracks used in the projects were first ripped into WMP from my CDs.  Various tracks were selected and put into a number of playlists.  These playlists eventually became audio tracks for several slide show projects after they were recorded from mp4 to WAV and then edited in Roxio Sound Editor.  The only relationship that I can conceive of is that some of the music used in the slide shows that came from WMP are also in iTunes.  All of the iTunes music was ripped well before any of the slide show projects were undertaken.  Moreover, not one of the tracks were used directly from iTunes.

So do songs play that you transferred? They propably do without any problem. Roxio apparently puts some data into the headers of files (it also occurs for photo file that are transferred to flash drives after they have been "used" by Roxio. As far as I know you can ignore that message.

I think there is even pinned post somewhere on this board regarding this.

The shedding of the metadata happens when you move a file from the NTFS file system which can hold metadata, to a FAT system which doesn't. Quite a large proportion of USB drives are formatted in FAT32, which is why this message is often seen during transfers to USB drives.

You're right.  The songs do play without a problem.  Was in the process of transferring music in iTunes from the old computer to iTunes on the new computer.  The first few attempts failed at adding the music to iTunes on the new computer.  When the message appeared that not all the data might transfer, I thought this might be the reason for the failure.  Googled how to do the transfer.  Even though there are numerous instructions about how to do the transer, most don't work.  One proved to be a winner.

By the way, this new computer sure is fast.  Anxious to get started on some new slide show projects.  If anyone is interested in learning how to perform this easy transfer I'll look up the web address and post it on the forum.  I just don't have it available at this time.
