You shouold just be able to connect the outputs from the XBox to the capture device and use capture video.
What have you tried and what were the problems? Do you have the capture device? Is it installed properly?
Give us more information please.
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.

Let's go back to the start. What Roxio software and hardware do you have? Do you know how to Google for a question/answer? Can you find video and audio outports on the XBox 360?
Come back to answer these questions and we'll give you more information. If you have Creator 2010, then you would hook your 360 to the capture device and use Roxio Capture to record your game play.

Did you look at any of the information /videos on the page that I linked to?
Perhaps this one will help.. or There are more here.
The program they are talking about is the same as in Creator 2009.

Even easier,you might be able to hook up everything right off the XBox.Just so you know I haven't tried this.
On the XBox you have both a way to hook up Composite (Yellow for Video,Red & White for Audio) and HDMI.
If you can run HDMI to your TV and the Composite from the XBox adapter to the Roxio device you might get away with not having to buy all those cables and not split the signal.
What I don't know is if the XBox will output both video sources at the same time.Since the HDMI is high def and the Composite isn't the XBox may only output one source depending on what's plugged in.
