I am returning to Creator after some absence (Creator 9). I would like to create a slide-show in MyDVD then finish it using Videowave. Is this possible?

No that is not possible, you would be putting the cart before the horse.

You first create the slideshow using Videowave (do not use the slideshow assistant) and then bring the slideshow project file into myDVD where you create the menus and burn.
