I've been using EMC 8 for some time now and haven't encountered any big problems that I couldn't solve until now.  My daughter used my computer the other day and used EMC 8 to do something, maybe make a copy of a cd or something.  The next day, when I turned on my computer, the first message that popped up was "Runtime Error" Files\CommonFiles\RoxioShared\Shared COM8\RoxioWatch.exe , and something about the program had been shut down in an unusual way and to contact support.
I haven't been on the discussion forum in a while and I guess you have to pay to get any kind of support by either phone or E-mail.  How can I get rid of this annoying message?  My daughter says she didn't do anything out of the ordinary.  Thanks in advance

Perhaps the computer was turned off before the watched files were finished updating.  Since you didn't post what you have tried, I'll start with the basics.

The first thing to try is to do a Windows Install Repair. Go to Start>Settings>Control Panel> Add/Remove programs. Wait until it is populated, scroll down to Roxio EMC (version) and click repair. Have your disc handy, it may ask for it.

BTW do you use Media Manager to watch your media folders? Some do and some don't. You may want to do a repair/custom install if you don't want it. As an alternate, you might want to limit the folders that it does watch. This will speed it up since it is not watching all the folders on your computer. You also have an option to turn it off entirely via right click on the icon on the lower right of your display.

Perhaps the computer was turned off before the watched files were finished updating.
