I want to convert an avi file to mp4. I cannot "see" my avi file from the add source choises even thought it is there. Also, I want to choose mp4 as my output but instead my only choices are devices like iPod, iPhone, Zune, etc. HOw do I simply choose mp4 as output.

Is actually does seems like too much to ask for my type os usage questions but here it it:

• Error code or issue: NO error code. I am unable to convert avi to mp4. When I select source I get the media selector box and my avi files do not show up on it. Also I am not able to just select mp4 for output, the only choices are for devices like iPod, Iphone Zune, etc.
• What kind of project were you working on:Sorry but I don’t undertand this question. I am not working ona project.  I am using video copy and covert.
• What kinds of files were you using and where did you get them? Avi and I made them myself from home vidoes.
• Did you complete your project or did it stop at a certain point in the process? The visoes are fine as avi files. I need to convert to mp4.
• Have you ever successfully completed the task that you are contacting us about? no
• Did you make any changes to your computer recently? (new applications, updates, etc) If so, what? No.

I don't have a problem selecting AVI's. Are yours in a folder?

Every option in Video Copy and Convert lets you do a custom output in mpeg 4 except DVD, Blu-ray, and WMV.
