Is there any benefit to having the Tivo Desktop and the Roxio Streamer on the home network?
If so, how would you set it up?

Honestly, very few of the Regulars here use it… 
One who does is currently digging out of the rubble from the last earthquake in New Zealand
If he has a chance to pop in, I am sure he will have some knowledgeable advice for you
