VOB is not a recognized file format for Creator 8. Use Windows to navigate to the file on your computer and change the extension to mpg. Make sure that you have unchecked hide file extensions in Windows or you will end up with the file named *.mpg.vob. That won't be recognized.
Once you change the extension, Creator 8 should recognize that renamed file and you will be able to use it.

Im still confused as to why the support docs say that you can select a Video_TS folder on your harddrive ?
"
In the Destination area, select one of the following from the drop-down list:
the drive containing the destination disc (if you have only one recorder, the drive is selected by default)
Disc image file
DVD-Video folder (only available if the source is DVD-Video content)"
and again
Select the movies that you want to include in the compilation. You can select movies from any of the following sources:
DVD-Video disc
DVD-Video (Video_TS) folder
DVD disc image file
DivX or WMV file
But the most annoying problem is this browse bug, what happens when other ppl chose browse in the search for media ?
Thanks everyone

Thanks for the sceenshots....I wonder what the issue is. How did you get the video_ts folder on your hard drive? I notice the folder with the compact disc icon in your screenshots?? I have never had much luck with the roxio software, great package just never get it to work right.
Thanks again

Odd that you can't do this. Like I posted earlier, as a work around, you could burn to DVD RW and then have Media Import save as DivX file.

I was suggesting using Media Import because originally you wanted the video folder to DivX file. Media Import can save video on a disc directly to DivX file. Unfortunately, Media Import 8 can not read video folders like version 7 did. I certainly hope they put that feature back in the next version.
