I am running Popcorn 1 on Mac OS Tiger on a G4. It works fine. Now I tried to install program on G5 Mac Leopard (not snow). Popcorn 1 ,opens but crashes when a TS_video is selected. It appears I need to upgrade. Can I use Popcorn without going through 2 & 3? should I purchase a complete Popcorn 4 or would the upgrade be fine?

Popcorn 4 requires an Intel Mac. So it won't run on the G5. My guess is Popcorn 3 works on PPC Macs, though. There is no upgrade from one version of Popcorn to another; there only are free updates within versions. By the way, Popcorn 3 is also a DVD authoring application so you can use it to create video DVDs from videos you shoot with your camera. It also has more conversion options so it could be worthwhile for you to buy it.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

Isn't there any mechanism to check and tell user he can't run corn4 on G5 or it just have some issues?
