I'm adding a series of audio tracks to an otherwise silent film but I have been unable to figure out to get the audio tracks to overlap slightly so that I can crossfade from one audio track to another without silence. Is this possible.

Hi, Ed.  You can place music on any of the audio tracks in videowave (make sure you are using videowave to create your project).  Then you can overlap end of the first song with the beginning of the second by placing the second song on a different audio  track than the first.  Confusing??  Try this:

1.  Open videowave, click the Show/Hide tracks icon (the first one on the left with the - +) and check the background audio, narration and sound effects boxes.

2.  Load your project into the video track.

3.  Drag the first song to the background audio track.

4.  Drag your second song to the narration track and drop it so the beginning of it slightly overlaps the end of the first song.  Drag the second song to the left or right to get just the right amount of overlap you want.

5.  Repeat the above for additional songs alternating between tracks.

Hope that helps

Merv...that's one of the nicest tricks I've seen.  And it's so very useful.

I'll add my thanks too!

Ed, vid2man97,

Your both very welcome.  Glad it worked for you.  You can further "tweak" the overlap if need be by adjusting the fade in/out time.  Just double click on the audio file and change the settings at the top of the audio editor window.
