I've just downloaded the Toast 11 upgrade and still cannot get transfers to work from my MacBook Pro to my Tivo Premiere XL. The blue transfer light turns on, but it says that something else is transferring already, although there isn't anything transferring. Canceling the transfer does not turn the light off. I have to also restart the Tivo.

I've been able to transfer with no problems from another Tivo XL and from a Tivo Series 2. It's only from the Mac that I have this problem.

I've turned off the Mac's firewall, rebooted both the Mac and the Tivo, but still get the same behavior. The movie file I'm trying to transfer is a just under 6 minutes and it's 95.2 MB in size. It's a .mp4 using H.264 encoding.

I'm starting to wonder if it's something related to my MBP's computer name. I'm on the road at the moment, I'll try making the computer name something simple when i return home and see if that makes a difference.

I changed the computer name to "MBP" from the really long name I was using, and Mac2Tivo transfers are now working.

A little more information. I installed Mac2Tivo on a Powerbook G4 running Leopard and transfers from that machine work just fine. It's only from my Snow Leopard machine that I am having problems transferring movie files.

I am using the same movie file on the two computers, so I know it's not a problem with the format of the movie itself.

I just did a test using my MacBook Pro and everything worked as it should to my Premiere XL. I'm unclear about your description of the sequence. Are you saying that after you select the program in the My Shows list for transfer the blue light comes on but you get a message that something else is transferring? I have no clue what could be causing that.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

Yes, that is exactly what I am seeing. I think other people have had this same problem with Snow Leopard (OS 10.6.x) I'm currently on 10.6.7

My Powerbook G4 is on Leopard, 10.5.x (forget exactly which version) and works as expected.

I'm on 10.6.7, too. Our systems and hardware seem to be the same. Very baffling.
