I am using Media Creator 8 trying to create a DVD (MyDVD) that has 4 slideshows with music. I can burn the disk if I do not add text to the pictures. If I just add text to a few pictures it works fine. There are about 50 pictures in each slideshow. If I add text to each of the pictures in a slideshow then it passes the encoding stage but hangs on recording the slideshow. I have the same problem trying to burn to a disk or to an image file on the hard drive.

Attempting to edit the slideshow blows away the text. If I save with no text it will write either to iso file or disk. How can I get this to record with text on the slides?

I'm not sure why you are experiencing what you suggest, but the best way to burn a DVD is to start with "Videowave", and save it as a DMSM file. You can do all your adding text, music, transitions, narrations  etc. in that program.

Then Use MyDVD to bring up that DMSM file and get it the way you want and then burn it to get your DVD.
