I've been using DVD builder and was able to select from a broad range of transitions, but all of a suddent I am unable to get more than three transitions unless I select the Random theme.  What could have happened to have lost the bulk of the transitions?  How can I get them back?  I saw a previous message with the same problem and a response suggesting renaming the Media Manager but when I did this I then lost all my DVD productions and never did retrieve all the transitions.

I would appreciate any help you might offer in this regard.

That should have worked.  First, when you make your productions and save them, make sure you save them to a folder outside of the Roxio program.  I have the folder that I made, on a different partion.  Then, if you have any problems with the program, your productions are safe?

Did you install the Content CD?

Thanks for the reply.  Yes, I did install the content disc.  Unfortunately, the transitions did not reappear.  When I went back into Media Manager file I noted there was two, the original one and the "MediaManager.old".
I'm wondering if I didn't follow the path correctly. . .where it says USERNAME, what should I have put in there?  I just hit the OWNER file.  Is that correct?

Any help you can give would be appreciated.

Delete the one with the .old file extension, and rename the other one to have the .old extension.  After you do that, reboot your computer, and see if it worked.  If not, you can try a repair of the program through Add/Remove Programs.  If you need help on doing that, post back here.

This probably has nothing to do with what is happening and Bruce is right about the Media Manager......

I had transitions start to disappear when I had less than 15% free hard disk space and once when my hard drive needed defragmenting.

And renaming your Media Manager file shouldn't lose your DVD productions.   Do a Windows \ Search for .dmsd files and see where they are stored.   Double clicking on one of the files should open it in DVD Builder.   You might have to do a Title\ Browse for missing files to link back to your video and pictures.
