I have just purchased roxio 8 and I have 2 questions. I cannot capture video. I have a firewire card and a panasonic camera. The screen stays blank and There is no preview. The seconds tick by but when I end the session no video in file. I have just installed a new motherboard gigabyte with a nividia 6600 card and 512 memory and a 3 gig processor. I have installed windows xp home edition with sp2. All clean

Secondlay. I have installed a lightscribe lg dvd drive. There is no option to print to lightscribe. There is no driver on the installation drive. The lightscribe driver is in nero. When I install nero then the lighscribe comes up. Printing a picture looks terible. but with nero all prints ok

Also the update to download is not for my version. I have version 805b56b

Any hints here to correct above.

Thanks

Anton

I have an LG burner and Lightscribe works fine.  You may need to go to their website. There is an update to Lightscribe plus a utility to make it burn darker, too.

There is also a firewire update at Microsoft:
Update for Windows XP (KB885222)

After you install Windows XP Service Pack 2, some 1394 devices (such as digital cameras that use S400 speed) may not perform as expected.

Firewire Fix for SP2

See if that helps.
