Use Windows Explorer to copy the Video_TS folder from the DVD to your hard drive
Launch Videowave, select Add movie/Photo, navigate to the Video_TS folder and select a vob file.

Can you explain what you are trying to do? There is no need to "capture" video from DVDs.

I'm converting some VHS tapes. I burned some VHS tapes to DVD's on a set top DVD recorder and now I want to edit them, cut out the dull moments and combine other highlights from other DVD's. How would you proceed?
And thanks for the quick response!
Edit
I have been doing this on the XP machine with nice results, except for the time it takes on that old machine. I use VideoWave to edit and combine the pieces that I get from the Import Media tool.

What you're doing is really Importing instead of Capturing but that's just semantics...lol
I tried this on some video I have on a disc and it worked just fine.
It did take a minute for the disc to get recognized and for it to come up in Media Import but it did.
Try having the disc in the drive before you start the app and see what happens.
Otherwise just go the route that myguggi suggested.Probably easier anyways.
