I did an experience with AVS Audio Converter http://www.avs4you.c...-Converter.aspx and I obtained PCM Bit Rate 1536kbps;Sampling Rate 96.0 kHz; Sample Size 16bit; Channels 8 (7.1) that was initial accepted. But...for DVD or Blu-ray was trancoded....I will do more experiences!

About 4m video (24996Kb/s CBR) with PCM 7.1 (12228kb/s) give me 1363MB. With audio .ac3 5.1normal 384kbps I obtain 936MB.

6.4 updates the Sony CMF output to version .92 for better replicator compatibility, permits you to pass through Blu-ray Disc legal elementary AVC and VC-1 streams and Multi-channel WAV PCM. It also includes support for dual layer BD-50 discs and masters.

It will even properly build the blu-ray folder and you can hear the sound when previewing prior to the build.
Once Built....it goes silent on playback from a blu-ray player.
There is obviously a problem during the build process.
The compliant PCM .wav files have to be 16-bit 48khz.
Thats all, no bitrate need be stated as .pcm is not a vbr codec.
It simply doesn't work and thats a bummer.

it doesn't have the problem, but sometimes it won't import the full movie.
I wonder if the writers of the user guide and help file didn't work together.
in the help file it states:
Note: For best results, use 48 kHz, 16-bit audio.
oh well, it shouldn't make any difference really, it still doesn't work.
I wouldn't worry about the high bit rate of pcm .wav files.
I've done many 90 minute movies with video encoding set for 20-35mbps and none of
them came close to filling a 25GB BD-R disk.
There is plenty of room for .pcm uncompressed audio (if it actually did work)
Most of the initial blu-ray movie releases were all pcm audio on single 25gb media.

PCM 5.1 surround sound on a blu-ray disc.
It can be 16-bit or 24-bit.....both work!
The solution is: Toast 10
Create your HD video stream
Create your pcm surround sound stream.
Go to create a blu-ray disc, import the video stream, toast notices
there is no audio, and asks for you to browse for the audio file.
Select it and go. It works.
Only thing is, you can't set custom chapter points.

I own it, the problem is, it does not always recognize the full length of the video file.
