I have Roxio Creator 9, and since I installed Norton Internet Security 2011(from 2009), the Roxio updater causes a freeze of ccsvchst(Norton)at 60% CPU usage, which stays at 60% until a reboot.
A few hours after the Roxio updater searches for updates the ccsvchst freezes again at 60%. The updater runs about once a week and the ccsvchst problem occurs once a week right after.
Does anyone else have this problem? My workaround solution was to un-install the Roxio updater which completely solved the problem.

Did you try going to the Tools > Options menu and just turning updates off?

NIS seems to be interfering with an increasing amount of other software as it gets older, and still bigger, doesn't it.

I blame it all on Global Warming / Global Cooling / Global Staying the Same  [pick one]

In fact I had thought of just turning off automatic updates, but un-installed it instead. This is "old" spoftware and I am sure Roxio would like me to update to Creator 2011.
It is not just NIS that interferes with older software, but others esp Adobe Flash Player 10 updates which damage HP printer software, and Adobe Reader affecting display drivers.
