Rotating Movie Files

I'm making a project in mydvd9 and the video shot on my iphone needs to be rotated 90 degrees - should be an easy fix but i cant figure it out, any ideas?

Put in a black panel, then put the video, on the black panel, as an overlay, rotate the video, then resize it to cover the panel.

A good idea, if the OP can't do the rotating in MyDVD 9, but if he can, he may want to use the program that he already has to do that.

What VLC version are you using? I do not see any setting for "rotate" in version 1.1.8

It doesn't matter, anyway.  If the OP does, what was outlined in Post #2, he won't need to mess with any outside software, if MyDVD 9 isn't a totally stripped down software.

It is there in 1.1.8.

Tools > Effects and Filters > Video Effects > Geometry

OK - I really appreciate the responses, but to be honest, i have no idea what VLC is.  I'm using easy media creator 9 and i don't see it referenced anywhere. I am def new at this.
