Burned Dvd's Won't Play Back

1: capture old VCR tapes with Roxio Video Capture USB device.
2: create new DVD project with MYDVD using the captured video movie.
3: Edit the video movie by trimming the start and end points
4: Preview of the project plays perfectly on PC
5: after buning the project and capturing the .iso file I subsequently burn to DVD.
6: Newly burned DVD's, when loaded into drive, will start cineplayer automatically. It will show "Play H:/" which is the proper drive, but will not ever play the DVD, but will finally go to "program not responding" and grey out.
Older dvd's I have burned in this manner play without issue. I cannot figure out the problem. any help will be greatly appreciated.

Can you play with other software players such as WMP or VLC?
Do the DVDs play on a stand-alone player?
Are you using C2010 for everything (capturing, editing, authouring & burning)?

Are you creating a BD project?
How long in time is the video project you are burning to DVD?
What quality setting in myDVD are you using?
What menu style are you using?

What do you mean by "network shared discs"? Local network or other?
Trying to use resources over networks is not recommended - you will get lots of coasters if it works at all. This is true for most video burning programs.

You can pull video sources in from other computers on your network without any problems…
I do it often and have never had a menu problem

I didn't pull video from other network resources, I captured video from VCR and placed on the networked resource and then tried to create a DVD from the networked resource. C2010 didn't like that. It only seems to work for me when all components reside on local disks.
If you have a way to do it from a networked computer, I'd love to know.
Regards,

Explain in detail what you call "networked resource"?

I would like more details as to the Length of the project as well as the media being used… then I will be happy to attempt to duplicate the results.
I have tested projects as I stated. I am not simply parroting out of date info based on years old software & technology

This post has taken on a life of it's own! Guys, I'm happy with the solution running on one computer. It works!

Just to verify:
My Project 2:15+ packed onto a 4.7 DVD:
I ran it on my 8300 as it represents an older/slower PC. 2 of the laptops were on wireless and the oldest is a Moble 4 @ 1.6 GHz
Sources were drawn from all 5 of my PC's. It works and I kept all but one long (2 hour) movie at HQ.
Where we found networks to be a problem was with Data Discs... They use a completely different burn method! Movies on the other hand are Rendered to a temp file before they start to burn, eliminating the need for a high speed, uninterrupted data stream.
I have to go turn these back off, they are eating my electricity

I have two MS 2008 R2 servers running a domain network, I don't know if this could be the difference; I can access the files and create the DVD, preview the project all OK, when I burn it; NO GOOD.

Where do you store the "temp" and/or iso files? If they are on the "servers" then that is propably the problem.
