Hi All,

A user created uninstallers for Creator 2010 which should help everyone go through the "clean uninstall" steps automatically.

Windows XP: Attached File  C2010_UninstallerXP.zip   128.34K   279 downloads

Windows Vista: Attached File  C2010_UninstallerVista.zip   128.34K   174 downloads

Windows 7: Attached File  C2010_UninstallerWin7.zip   128.66K   508 downloads

I have personally tested them and they work fairly well.

Please note that these are NOT official uninstallers from Roxio/Rovi but made from the community. I decided to release these for the forum since Clean Install KB article is frequently suggested and it's a long manual process. This should make it a little easier for everyone to uninstall Creator 2010 either for the purpose of reinstalling or installing the new version of Creator.

Feedbacks are welcomed but use at your own risk and there will be no support on this. (not from me or anyone at Roxio/Rovi)

Thanks!

Ivan

Ivan, I'm sure this will be welcomed.

But it all begs the question:

WHY does the roxio EMC ECDC 9,2010, 2011, etc fail to completely uninstall itself? I.e. why does it not delete the hidden files and directories that it creates, and why does it leave 8-12 registry keys in the registry that we all know have to be removed because they will trash re-installation attempts?

Has sonic / roxio ever seriously answered that question to the satisfaction os its customers.

I'm familiar with the need to eradicate entries from the regisrty after uninstalls - but that's usually with programs with no uninstall or at least ones that will not stomp on a re-install. roxio is the worst in this regard; you don't get it all, and you're not going to re-install sucessfully.

It's keeping my from even considering some other applications such as your VHS 2 DVD appliction.

Ask Microsoft - the .msi extension is MicroSoft Installer
