I was using the Roxio Audio Converter to batch convert my music from the WAV files that I have to the AAC files that my IPOD needs. I set the output to IPOD (Good quality) AAC, and ran the converter. When it was finished I chcked the output files and they were not AAC they were M4A.

Hi,
If you go back to Roxio Audio Converter, you'll see that the setting 'iPod AAC good quality' is intended to produce AAC type m4a files.

AAC files can have .m4a, .m4b, .m4p, .m4v, .m4r, .3gp, .mp4, and .aac file extensions. Your iPod should happily accept m4a files, but if for some reason it doesn't, try renaming the files to an .aac extension.
