I have made a previous post on this subject, but when I go back to the topic I am unable to see as to how I select page 2. Last week I was able to do so, today nothing appears on my screen to facilitate this option.

Now to my problem which appears to be common with a number of others I have read. I create a production in videowave, then endeavour to burn it to DVD, the progress bar indicates all is going well until the final part when it is trying to create the menu and the error code 80004005 appears and the production is not burnt to disc.

In a previous thread, a hotfix has been posted - which I thought would be the answer to my dilemma. Not so, the applying of the hotfix caused further problems and locked up the program. I have uninstalled Creator 8 and reinstalled. My version is download, not boxed.

Currently I have productions that I need to burn, and the software appears to be flawed and not operating as intended. It looks as if I am going to have to create them again in version 7.5, which works without problems.

Other than help in this forum from the Roxio community, does anybody know if Roxio is working on a patch and as to when it will be released? Is there a thread or a forum about patches.

Version 7 had numerous flaws when it was first released, most if not all that were fixed with a patch that was around 120MB in size. My concern here is that I had tried the automatic update in version 7, and kept getting the message that no updates were available. It was only through a chance conversation with a friend, that I learnt of the update that was available, but from the roxio website and not through automatic update. Is the same happening in version 8.

My almost final comment/question is that it strikes me from reading the threads in this forum is that there are a lot of issues that need fixing. Has the product been released to the market without adequate testing? I rely on this product, and am frustrated that having purchased version 8 it is not functioning as intended.

Can any body put me out of my misery and let me know when an update/patch will be available to fix error 80004005 which will work for me.

Is it intended that version 8 will be able to read version 7 productions?

All help and comments appreciated.

I to had the same error with my downloaded version. After trying 2 different patches with no success I have given up. With all of the problems that people are having with this new version I would recommend to anyone that I talk with that they remove the program from their PC and wait untill a proper update is sent out for all of us to install. I have done just that and re-installed 7.5.

My advise to you would be to do the same. This software, in my opinion, works as good as a first time out beta. A final release of any software should not be this shakie especially at $100.00 CDN for the download.

I had this same error. I wiped the hard drive and then re-installed Win XP Pro, after which I installed EMC 8.

I was able to burn video DVD's with no error messages. However once I install my anti-virus software, EMC 8 malfunctioned during a burn to DVD. I know get 800700e ERROR WHILE ENCODING MOVIE.
