Attached File  msconfig services roxio.doc   228.5K   25 downloads

Hi all-knowing ones

Not sure if this is the right forum, but here goes ...

The copy disc (music cd) programme on my creator 2009 has stopped working (computer has not been modified, updated or had anything added since copy disc last worked about 10 days ago). I get the R6025 pure virtual function call message.

I followed the advice on install/uninstall posts and did a clean uninstall/install (windows xp service packs and netframework up to date disabled firewalls etc) and loaded the roxio updates on re-install.

Then I followed the msconfig advice and after rebooting for the umpteenth time, saw that the roxio services had stopped (I've attached a file showing this as I can't work out how to embed it into the post).

I'm consdering upgrading to creator 2011 but am concerned the same problem will occur.

Is there a solution - all I can see is advice to "tick the boxes" in the services window - they are ticked, and after yet another reboot "enabling all" the roxio services are still "stopped"

Any bright ideas on how do I get them to "start" ?

There has been a rash of posters that use MS Word to post a image!

You use a screen capture software,  save the pic as a jpeg, and the board happily lets you attach it to your post.

After re-checking the box's the apply button should activate, and you click apply?

Then a reboot to save and keep changes.

What did you do?

I'm a simple fellow, cdanteek - I use simple commands like "copy" and "paste" and "screen capture software" is a bit too too much like needing to butter both sides of the slice.

Anyway - I disabled everything, enabled everything, clicked "apply" then "ok" rebooted and they'd stopped, so I disabled everything and enabled everything and clicked apply, then "ok", rebooted, and they'd stopped again so I took the screenshot which you've kndly imported into the post {using your screen capture software ](i.e. all boxes ticked, but services stopped or didn't start)

And that's the problem - I can't get them to start

So if anyone has some ideas I'd be very grateful (I am googling to see if Nero software has the same glitches, as I've been blocked on this for over 8 hours, now.

Thanks

C2009 doesn't offer a repair!

I don't think C2009 offers a repair?

From control panel, add remove programs / control panel, programs and features.

If it does run it..

Thanks for the suggestion - I've re-inserted the disc but it only offers me the opportunity to install - not remove or repair. It's simply Creator 2009 (not the ultimate).

Just like inserting/copying/pasting into these posts, they don't make it easy, do they ?
