When I try to burn a slideshow that has both landscape and portrait photographs the portraits photographs get chopped, lose detail. Is there any way around this other than having only landscape or portrait?

There are 40 programs in the Creator 2010 Suite.

Which One are you using???

I took a couple of shots and started playing with this so I think I can answer your question now… (always good to provide details though ;) )

Never ran across this since I stopped shooting portrait after my first digital camera. I always found the jump between the 2 during a slideshow to be annoying to my eye  :(  In anycase…
All of Roxio’s Video Programs do not handle this as well as expected, soooo

You have to fix them before hand!

If you have several, use Roxio’s Enhance Multiple Photos:

After adding the photos, pick the ones you need to rotate Right (or Left) using Control Click to multi select:

Then pick the Action and Complete:

AND you can salvage your existing Slideshow!!! I used Create Slideshow so you go to where the Project Files have been saved (dmss) and delete the ‘dat’ file:

Then double click the dmss file and your altered photos will come in as you hoped

Hope that helps ;)
