I have been using (on a friends computer) PhotoSuite 5 and like it's easy operation.....is there a xp & 7 compatible program I can buy ???

Your version is a stand alone version of PhotoSuite and many, many, years old. Are you looking for a standalone program (only does photo's) or do you want a suite of programs that will do many things (Creator 2011 http://www.roxio.com...e/overview.html ) which includes the latest PhotoSuite application.
Tell us what your requirements are, do you want to create videos/edit, copy data flies, make MP3s etc, etc.
