I receive the error message to "insert disk" when installing EMC8 with only room left for one more blue icon on installation bar. The installation has proceeded for 95%+ of its job, and then tells me I need to insert the disk. It stops and goes no further. Clicking cancel causes a rollback and the program does not install.

I thought inserting the Content Disk which came with EMC8 was what I needed to do...No way!
I have been using EMC since version 5, 6 and 7 but all traces of anything having to do with Roxio has been very carefully removed from the computer including the registry.

This all started because I cannot burn a DVD using Roxio Slide Show module...the error "Cine Player codex needs to be activated" dialog box displays and I could not find "CinePlayer" in my EMC 8 Suite even when I used Search.

Any suggestions as to what I may be doing wrong with these two problems will be very sincerely appreciated. I cannot find anything at all on the internet that has helped me. I am praying that somone out there has the solution.

Download Windows Installer Cleanup Utility from Microsoft to remove all traces of Roxio, then reinstall.

The above didn't solve the problem, but it got me to thinking. I found on the web a file "Roxiozap" which
said to use with extreme caution. I used this file and found I still had lurking in the computer some files
carried over from EMC 4 and 5. Roxiozap removed these and my problem was solved.

Thanks for your considered response.  :)
